Sampson Marionette Art Kit
The Sampson Marionette Art Kit is an introduction to the world of puppetry that dates back to the time of the Egyptians. My Sampson was inspired by the Lion seen in Saint Mark's Square in Venice during my travels through Italy. This religion inspired creature balances the masculine and feminine traits that make up our spirit and feed our soul.
This kit contains all of the parts to build Sampson. A few additional tools and materials are required. These additional items include a box cutter or wood carving knife, a hammer, a screw-driver, super glue or wood glue, scissors, linseed oil or acrylic paints, dust mask, work gloves & safety glasses. To mount the wall bracket you will also need a power drill and 3/16” bit.
The kit includes a set of directions. Below is an instructional video for the Jack Straw marionette that follows the typical assembly of my marionette designs.
Note that product images are shown for reference only. Being made from natural materials, each marionette will have its own characteristics and anomalies found in wood. i.e. variations in grain, tone, knots and texture.

A few additional items to note. This kit is a fairly delicate art piece. Sharp tools are required to assemble and some simple woodworking experience is necessary. The kit does contain small parts that could be a choking hazard if swallowed. Small children should enjoy this piece from a distance. Take care and many blessings.
